Three oscillators
The oscillators use the classic circuit Roland, Sequential and others used in the 80s. The new AS3340-HYP chips give that silky smooth 80s sound and avoid the pitch drift of the original CEM. They track over all 8 octaves.
On each oscillator, the levels of all four waveforms are CV controllable. A rotary switch selects the octave, and there is a 3-stage sub oscillator. A jumper on the front panel selects the Mod CV output (0–10 V). FM, pitch CV and PWM are scalable, and all of them are attenuverted.
Patched for you
The FM inputs are normalled to the outputs of the other oscillators, and you can change the order on the back. The sync inputs connect to the neighbouring mod outputs with shorting bars. The three oscillator outputs are mixed internally and appear at MIX OUT whenever no single output is used. Optical clipping stages sit at the oscillator and main stage.
Swarm LFO
The left side of the module is a swarm LFO. One master frequency, set by a knob or an external input, is re-used seven times with variations. The eight outputs can be offset in phase or frequency, always based on the master. The LFO can slow down to 0 Hz and freeze all levels where they are, and every output has its own level control, so you don’t need extra attenuators.
Shared pitch and gain
A shared pitch input with a 4-octave offset and a level LED sits at the lower left. The upper left corner holds the collective clipping and gain control.
